- Library items are loaned free of charge to SEASL members in good standing and remain the property of SEASL. A member in good standing is a paid member without an overdue library item or any unpaid late fees.
- Only one item will be loaned to a member (or family membership) at a time.
- Items may be checked out and returned at the regular monthly meeting or mailed/shipped at the borrower's expense.
- The borrower may keep the item up to 1 month from the check out date. Items checked out at a monthly meeting may be returned at the following monthly meeting. Items checked out at the last regularly scheduled meeting (usually May) must be returned within 30 days. Items may be returned to the Librarian or any Executive Officer.
- A $30.00 deposit (refundable less any late fees) will be required on all borrowed material in the form of a check or cash only.
- A late fee of $1.00 per day will be charged against the deposit received for items kept beyond the due date.
- Deposit refunds will be made in the following manner:
- If the item is returned on time your original deposit check will be returned.
- If the item is returned on time and your deposit was made in cash a SEASL check will be made out to you.
- If the item is returned late a SEASL check will made out to you less late fees.
- If the item is damaged beyond normal use no refund will be made.
- The borrowing period may be extended for extenuating circumstances by a SEASL Executive Officer or by the Librarian.
